Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 May 2026 (revised — crash reporting added)

Who we are

Beauts is a UK sole-trader operation.

The short version

The Beauts app processes your photos on your Mac. Your photos never leave your device. They are not sent to any server and are not used for training anything. The app does not phone home and does not require an account.

Our website and payment processor collect some personal data when you visit or buy a licence. That is what most of this policy describes.

What we collect

When you use the app

Nothing, by default. The app does not send data about you, your photos, or how you use it. Beauts has no analytics, no usage reporting, and does not phone home on launch.

Optional crash reporting. If — and only if — you toggle "Send anonymous crash reports" on in Preferences (it is off by default), a crash sends the following to Sentry (sentry.io, German EU region):

We do not send: your photos, file paths from your home folder (these are scrubbed before upload), your IP address, any identifier we can link back to you. Each crash report is anonymous. You can turn this off in Preferences at any time; the change takes effect on next launch.

When you visit beauts.app

When you buy a licence

Payment is handled by Paddle (the Merchant of Record). Paddle collects your name, email, billing country and address, and payment card details. Their privacy policy is at paddle.com/legal/privacy.

We receive from Paddle: your email (to deliver the licence and reply to support), your order ID, amount, currency, and country. We never receive your full card details.

When you contact support

We hold the email content and your email address for as long as needed to handle the conversation, plus seven years for UK accounting records.

Newsletter

If you sign up to the Beauts newsletter via the form on beauts.app, we collect your email address and subscription date. The list is held by Resend (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy), based in the United States with EU subprocessing. Every email we send you includes an unsubscribe link; you can also email us and we will remove you.

We do not pre-populate the list from purchases or support contacts. You are only on it if you signed up.

International transfers
